After I had spend four nights in La Paz it was time to get back into my saddle and explore the south tip of the peninsula.
I first rode my bike to La Ventana which is about 50km riding east of La Paz. It was already dark when I arrived at a beautiful white sand beach and pitched my tent. I joined some other travelers at their campfire and had a nice evening exchanging stories with them.
The next day I continued my journey to Los Barilles where I slept directly at the beach again. Next to me four other travelers where camping in their little van and I joined them on their campfire. We were accompanied by Carlos, a Mexican who was living in his tent on this beach for more than a year already. We threw together our food and create a delicious pasta dinner together.
This morning I woke up shortly after sunrise. I realized what I missed, after I saw the picture which Rose (one of the travelers) had made of my campsite just before sunrise (see picture above). The next highlight this morning was a little group of rays which were swimming very close to shore. The were hanging out at that spot for several minutes.
Next stop for me will now be Cabo Pulmo where I want to enjoy some snorkeling hopefully.
